My Big Kindergartener!

Kindergarten is all we've been able to talk about for the last few days and today was finally the big day! I woke up to a rustling sound outside my room and then Carolyn burst in with her 'first day' outfit in her hands and proceeded to get all dressed immediately. We had a special breakfast this morning (Mama's coffee cake) and waited the agonizingly long wait til lunch time when she could go to school (the pitfalls of PM Kindergarten ;)).

She ran all the way there and took off at a mad dash for the home stretch, and settled into her classroom immediately. Before the parents were shooed out, she read a Clifford Book and the class listened to a letter that Clifford the Big Red Dog had sent them all personally.

I can't wait to pick her up in a few minutes and hear all about her day.

Stay tuned for the sequal: Abbie's first day of Preschool! ;)

Her Feet Literally didn't hit the ground all morning long waiting to go to school.

Ferris Wheel

Andy took the girls on their first Ferris Wheel ride the other night while I was at work. As you can see they LOVED it.

Berries!

Summer FINALLY started in the Pacific Northwest (though you wouldn't know it today--it's July 4th and under 60 degrees outside.). The Strawberries have arrived!

Happy Anniversary

Andy and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary on June 29th. That evening God gave us a present. :)

PBY Comes Home

We looked out our window one morning last week and saw quite a site! This Chinook Helicopter was making a special delivery. This PBY Catalina came home to stay at the PBY Memorial Museum here on base after being gone for over 60 years. These planes were based here before and during WWII and on into the 60s.

The Adventuress came to visit our little harbor. I spotted the mast over some tree tops and we headed down to the beach to take a look.

Family Hike

We went out a couple weekends ago to take a family hike at a park we've always wanted to explore. The girls had fun exploring the trees and moss and critters on the trail and the view was gorgeous.
