General Fallishness with a Halloween Flavor
The whole family went along with Carolyn for her very first field trip--to a pumpkin patch.

Gramma Caro would be so proud. :)
The first trying on of the Halloween Costumes. Presenting: The Princess and the Pea. Thank you Gramma K! More costume pictures to come following Trick or Treat.
And of course, the carving of the pumpkins!
Abbie says, "I think I've got the hang of this!"

The Mommy-o-lantern's head exploded (not-suprisingly with this crew) and needed some repair.
Oh, the horror!
One big.... um, happy....? family.

Apple Cider Press
One of our favorite annual events is our church's Apple Cider Press. The whole congregation gathers out at a Christmas Tree farm and we press tons and tons of apples. Then everyone gets cider to take home. In the meantime, there's a bonfire, and hayrack rides, and tons and tons of bad for you foods to munch on.

The hayrack ride.
Even Abbie got in on the action.
Don't you wish you could come? ;)

Apple Picking
We've long been frustrated that though we live in WASHINGTON STATE which is, of course, famous for apples, we couldn't find any place to pick them. That finally changed this past weekend, when I discovered that a small orchard opened for U-pick apples just recently.
The girls loved playing Frisbee with the dog.
A view of Mt. Baker from the orchard.

Abbie's First Kapaw's Cone
Our FAVORITE Ice Cream place is Kapaw's Ice Cream. The ice cream is fabulous, the waffle cones are homemade, and we just think that the owners are incredibly neat people. A "first" cone is free for little farkles, so we went to get Abbie's first cone.
The first delicious bite.
What's sisterhood without a little forced sharing??
