Jamie and Todd

Some of our very best friends moved back to Colorado last week. They came over for dinner one last time last Wednesday. Here are some photos from that night. See how much my kids love them?

Carolyn still keeps saying that she misses them. I do too.

Snow

We got a real snowstorm today! I have NEVER seen it snow like this. We usually get a dusting a couple times a year that melts in a day or two. We got snow on Saturday that didn't melt, and set things up perfectly for this latest winter storm. We have at least five inches and it's not going anywhere! We're having a ball!

Abbie wasn't sure what she thought of the snow. She didn't like it falling on her face, and she wasn't sure about walking in it.

It worked great!

Andy re-enlists.

Andy re-enlisted on Tuesday. If you haven't read about my bit of hilarity and humiliation during that momentous occasion, go here.

The girls running to be in attendance.

It was a beautiful day at Deception Island, or Deception Pass Island. You can draw your own conclusions about husband's choice of location for re-enlisting. He also decided since he is NOT defined by wearing a uniform that he would re-enlist in civilian clothes. Then he decided at the last minute to dress up because he missed wearing suits. He looks pretty sharp, eh? Though of course, I do love my man in a uniform.

Abbie's words

Abbie's words have come on so fast and furious. She's not quite 18 months right now, but she has SOO many. Tonight we were sitting and reading a book and she was flipping through and naming things in pictures. It was a 'Baby Words' book so it was all photos of baby vocabulary basically. She pointed out nose, ear, bear, kee, (kitty), ggoggy (doggy), shoe, sock, shirt, pants, apple, banana, and bath. She called all the photos of babies "Abbie," and my favorite part was what she called the ducks: Kuck Kuck.

I love it. She is so amazing. Just so amazing.
